Rick Ruch
Rick Ruch has
been involved in the restoration business since 1982. He was
employed with a well established company in Denver Colorado for nine
years. Rick is the owner and operator of Advanced Cleaning and
Restoration Specialists in the North-metro Denver area. He is currently
performing every phase of water damage restoration. Rick has served seven
years on the Board of Directors and is past president of Professional
Carpet and Upholstery Cleaners Association. Rick has all IICRC
certifications and is a Master Cleaner, Master Restorer, and Senior Carpet
Inspector. |

Tim Lovell Tim Lovell of
Lakewood, Colorado has been a remediation instructor for IOT since the
company’s inception in late 2004. Tim has certifications from numerous
associations and agencies, including IICRC and IAQA. He has owned his
own companies since 1999 involving mold remediation, remodeling and
building construction. Tim brings an “in the trenches” workplace
experience to the IOT content. |

Tom Slattery
Tom has been involved with all aspects of
the cleaning industry since he was able to help his dad as a child. He
started in the hard floor care industry, then joined a progressive and
diverse janitorial supply house. During Tom’s 12 years there, he
assisted many companies to grow and increase their profits. His broad
knowledge was well used in many roles including Service Manager,
Salesman, Teacher and Education Coordinator. Along with Tom’s frequent
teaching obligations, he now owns and operates a rapidly growing
janitorial firm.
Tom’s credentials include IICRC Master Cleaner, Master Restoration
Technician, and Master Fire & Smoke Restorer. He holds certification in
Carpet Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, Water Damage Restoration, Odor
Control, Color Repair, Carpet Repair, Fire Restoration, Leather
Cleaning, Center for Advanced Drying, Mold and Sewage Decontamination,
Dale Carnegie Public Speaking as well as Sales Awards and Service
Technician courses.
Tom’s knowledge and determination to making sure his students learn is
always evident and well appreciated. |

Steve Johnson Steve has
been a dedicated and respected individual in our industry for 16 years.
Prior to coming to work for Bridgepoint Systems, Steve ran his own
successful cleaning business in Salt Lake City, Utah. Steve is a
certified Master Cleaner through the IICRC and holds certification in
Carpet Cleaning, Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning, Water Restoration, Fire
and Smoke Damage Restoration, Odor Control and Color Repair.
Steve is an IICRC approved Instructor in Carpet Cleaning and in
Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning for Bridgepoint as well as being an
instructor for many other Bridgepoint classes. Currently, Steve is a
National Sales Account Manager in Bridgepoint Distribution Division.
Every day he consults new and existing businesses on setting up a system
for success. Steve’s knowledge and enthusiasm in the industry is very
evident in the classes he teaches, and each student is sure to receive
maximum value after attending one of his schools. |

Steve Andrews Steve is a
long-term veteran of the cleaning industry, with over 27 years
experience. He knows what it means to do all types of cleaning related
duties from scrubbing toilets to cleaning custom hand-tufted gold inlaid
carpets; from answering maintenance questions for a commercial building
to giving testimony as an expert witness in a full-jury trial, including
arbitrations.
Steve has owned and operated a multi-truck cleaning business, a
Full-Service Distribution Center for the Cleaning and Restorations
Industry, trained housekeeping departments in the care and maintenance
of everything from concrete steps, carpet, and upholstery to mattresses
and ovens.
Steve is a practicing senior inspector and works with fiber producers,
chemical manufacturers, and carpet mills; as well as providing
consulting and training for resort properties, large theme parks and
individuals. Steve is also a Master Cleaner with many areas of
certifications; Water Damage, Odor Control, Repair & Reinstallation,
Color Repair, Certification Number 240. Steve has been actively
traveling and teaching IICRC Certification Classes for the last two
years and his focus is to assist the new student, as well as the
seasoned veteran, to set themselves apart as the premier cleaner in
their area. |

Doug Heiferman
As an Approved IICRC Instructor, Doug
Heiferman has traveled the United States teaching textile cleaning and
restoration courses for the past eleven years. He instructs classes on
oriental rug cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, wood cleaning, leather
cleaning, odor control as well as business marketing and management
classes.
In addition to teaching, Doug is an IICRC Certified Master Textile
Cleaner and was owner/operator of a successful textile cleaning and
restoration company for 16 years. Doug has a diversified business
background and has gained valuable experience working for corporations
such as Lillian Vernon, Federated Department Stores, and Citibank in the
areas of purchasing, inventory control, credit and collections, and
finance. He has earned degrees in Business Administration and Political
Science.
Doug's positive attitude combined with a
motivating teaching style makes him one of the most requested
instructors in the country. He is well known for teaching his students
how to be ultra competitive in today's fast paced business environment
through the use of advanced technical skills and innovative sales and
marketing techniques. |

Bill Weigand
Bill entered the
cleaning industry upon his graduation from Shippensburg University in
1980. Bill Joined Unsmoke® in 1988, when he was hired as General Manager
of its service company. In 1992 Bill was promoted to General Manager of
Training and Technical support for Unsmoke® Systems. Bill has had the
opportunity to put his restoration knowledge and experience to work,
representing Unsmoke® on various onsite disaster restoration consulting
projects throughout North America and the Caribbean. Bill is
co-instructor of ASCR’s NIDR TECH courses. In 1995 Bill became Vice
President of Microban® Systems, Inc. Unsmoke® Systems is an industry
recognized authority on disaster, restoration and odor removal. They
have developed many odor control products and techniques which have
become industry standards. Unsmoke® Systems has designed and presented
numerous odor, smoke and fire restoration training programs, and schools
throughout the U.S. and abroad. Unsmoke® has assisted many firms in
diversification into odor control and fire restoration. Unsmokes®’s
disaster restoration instructors are recognized by both the IICRC and
ASCR.

Bob Merkt
Bob
Merkt is the owner of MEGA (Merkt Educational Group and Associates). He
has been in the cleaning industry for over 20 years and for the last
years he has owned and operated his own full service carpet, upholstery,
hard surface floor and janitorial cleaning company – Kettle Moraine
Professional Cleaners Inc.
Bob has been training for more than 12 years. He is an invited speaker
at many industry events as well as a contributor to industry
publications. Bon is a CMI Certified Instructor and an Institute of Inspection,
Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) Master Cleaning
Technician, Vice-chair of the IICRC Floor Care Technician (FCT)
Committee, IICRC Approved FCT Instructor, Past President of the
Association of Wisconsin Cleaning Contractors (AWCC) and all-around good
guy.
Bob is
an instructor specializing in training the adult learner. He performs
his classroom and hands-on training in an energetic, humorous and easy

George Cazares
George Cazares, President of SEISC
Enterprise, LLC and has been involved in the cleaning and restoration
industry since 1986. George is an IICRC Master Cleaner and Master
Restoration Technician. He has been approved by the IICRC to teach the
subjects of Water Damage Restoration Technician, Carpet Repair &
Reinstallation, Odor Control, Color Repair Technician, Carpet Cleaning,
Commercial Maintenance Technician and Upholstery & Fabric Technician.
George’s varied experience gives him extensive knowledge and hands-on
techniques that relate to the every day operations of a cleaning and
restoration company. George also served as a technical trainer and
operations manager for a large multi-truck, multi-state operation for 10
years in the Northwest and Southern California.
His determination and passion for providing quality training with a lot
of enthusiasm in either English or Spanish will build a stronger
foundation for the next generation of service professionals.
