DESCRIPTION:IICRC Floor Care Technician (FCT) Course\n8am-4:30pm Daily CANCELLED\nThe Floor Care Technician course is a two-day class designed to give you the knowledge and skills needed to perform hard floor care. The class includes a definition of floor covering types\, to include: \n\nResilient (LVT\, VCT\, Sheet vinyl\, rubber\, linoleum\, VAT & others).\nNatural stone floors (marble\, limestone\, granite\, slate & others).\nCeramic\, porcelain\, quarry tile\, saltillo\, terra-cotta\, terrazzo\, concrete\, and more.\nAlso included is a handful of specialty floors such as: ESD\, glass\, metal and others.\n\nAttendees will also learn about the equipment\, supplies\, methods\, techniques\, and cleaning procedures related to each of these floor coverings. It is taught in an energetic\, humorous\, and easy to comprehend style that the students enjoy. \nLearn about: \n\nThe floor care industry.\nThe importance of cleaning for health\, safety\, and appearance.\nThe knowledge\, skills and attitude needed to be successful.\nThe science of cleaning – the detergency process.\nThe equipment.\nMaterials and supplies used to perform hard surface floor care.\nHow to perform the procedures safely\, efficiently\, and effectively.\n\nSeptember 30 – October 1\, 2025 – CANCELLED\nInstructor: Bob Merkt\nPre-Registration – $349 – if paid by 09/17/2025\nRegistration – $379 (after 09/17/2025)\nReceive 14 IICRC Continuing Education Credit (CECs)\nThe exam fee is $80.00 and is a separate charge paid to the IICRC. \nCancellation Policy: In the event of a cancellation\, a 14-day notice is required. Students that cancel 14-days prior to class have the option for someone to come in their place\, transfer to another class (in the same calendar year) of equal or lesser value or receive a 50% credit. \nThe definition of a “no-call\, no-show” is someone who does not communicate their absence within 2 hours of class. There are no transfers or refunds for no-call\, no-shows. \nIf a student registered for class can no longer attend class and you want to send someone in their place\, a 3-day notice is required. \nTraveling and need a hotel?
