Note: Bloodborne Pathogens has been incorporated into this seminar at no extra cost. You can receive 2 certifications for this class. The Bloodborne Pathogens Certification is good for 1 year.
The Trauma and Crime Scene Technician (TCST) provides specific information for the proper maintenance and cleaning of trauma and crime scenes. Decontaminating specialist emphasis is placed on health and safety requirements. Including the hands-on donning and doffing of PPE and creating a hazard assessment of the area, structural remediation; cleaning and demoing, contents remediation containing cleaning and disposal, and the cleaning and disposal of vehicles and industrial machinery including lockout, tagout, and working with industrial site officers. Cleaning and demo equipment will be discussed along with the laws regarding hazardous waste, transport, storage, and disposal.
Cancellation Policy: In the event of a cancellation, a 14-day notice is required. Students that cancel 14-days prior to class have the option for someone to come in their place, transfer to another class (in the same calendar year) of equal or lesser value or receive a 50% credit.
The definition of a “no-call, no-show” is someone who does not communicate their absence within 2 hours of class. There are no transfers or refunds for no-call, no-shows.
If a student registered for class can no longer attend class and you want to send someone in their place, a 3-day notice is required. If the new student can no longer attend, this is considered a no-call, no-show.
