IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) Seminar – Hybrid

The Water Damage Restoration Technician course is designed to teach restoration personnel that performs remediation work to give them a better concept of water damage, its effects, and techniques for drying of structures. This course will give residential and commercial maintenance personnel the background to understand the procedures necessary to deal with water losses, sewer back-flows, and contamination such as mold. (3-day course; 19 hours, not including exam time, lunch, and breaks.)

• Emergency Response
• Preparation Before Responding
• Antimicrobials and Biocides
• Detailed Inspection: Methods, Monitoring & Metering Tools
• Increasing the Rate of Evaporation:
• Psychometric Chart, Air & Material Interactions, and Managing Vapor Pressure
• Evaluating Dehumidifier Performance with Grain Pressure
• Pressurization
• Drying Material Types and Procedures
• Equipment Setup: Rate of Evaporation, Electricity, Managing Heat
• Daily Procedures: Monitoring, Documentation, Successful Decisions, and Microbiology.
Cancellation Policy: In the event of a cancellation, a 14-day notice is required. Students that cancel 14-days prior to class have the option for someone to come in their place, transfer to another class (in the same calendar year) of equal or lesser value or receive a 50% credit.
The definition of a “no-call, no-show” is someone who does not communicate their absence within 2 hours of class. There are no transfers or refunds for no-call, no-shows.
If a student registered for class can no longer attend class and you want to send someone in their place, a 3-day notice is required. If the new student can no longer attend, this is considered a no-call, no-show.
